Our Mission & Vision
The Mission of the Walla Walla Valley Bands is to provide an opportunity for instrumental musicians to participate in community musical activities, to enhance their music skills and knowledge through exposure to a wide variety of band literature and to foster appreciation for and education in the musical arts. We also bring a varied repertoire to our audiences to give them unique and educational programs.
The Vision of the Walla Walla Valley Bands is to create the perfect balance of accessibility to amateur musicians of varying levels with excellence in musicianship and performance. We accomplish this by providing a welcoming environment to all new members and equipping them with the tools necessary to refine their individual musical skills while having fun in a no-pressure atmosphere.
Our members represent a true cross-section of the community which we serve and come from every social, economic and cultural background found in the Walla Walla Valley. Members travel from Pendleton, Tri-Cities, Milton-Freewater, Hermiston and even as far as Yakima and Prosser in order to participate in this dynamic program.
Through our weekly rehearsals and individual practice, our ensembles have reached increasing levels of excellence in the performance of instrumental wind music.
